Choose the path
- Keep my files: reinstall Windows, keep personal folders, remove apps.
- Remove everything: clean slate after backup.
- Cloud download vs local reinstall: cloud needs networking; local uses recovery image.
Before you start
- Back up Documents/Desktop/Downloads externally.
- Note BitLocker key if the volume is encrypted.
- Confirm charger is connected on laptops.
After reset: drivers, Update, customer apps. Document that OEM bloat may return from recovery partitions.
