NLCRC bench order for spill boards (themes discussed widely in capacitor/laptop repair communities; rewritten here). Before applying power - Disassemble enough to see both sides. White/green corrosion under shields is common. - Ultrasonic or careful IPA cleaning; neutralize residues; dry fully. - Photograph before and after so you know what lifted. Staged bring-up 1) Resistance checks on main buses (adapter, ALW, CPU/GPU cores) — do not inject into a hard short. 2) Current-limited first power if you have a bench PSU. 3) Stop at the first rail that collapses; use BoardView to list suspects on that net. Expectations - One successful clean-up does not guarantee long-term reliability — advise customers about latent corrosion. - Replace crusted connectors and burnt sense resistors early; they fail later under load. Never skip ESD and never rush a wet board into a full-current adapter.
