First Azure VM deploy for a small workload

Minimal Azure VM path for shops testing a customer workload (NLCRC guide). Plan - Region close to the customer; size from B-series upward only as needed. - Resource group naming you can find later. Deploy checklist 1) VNet + subnet (or use defaults knowingly) 2) NSG: allow only required ports; do not leave RDP/SSH open to the world without a plan 3) Create VM with SSH keys or Entra login where supported 4) Enable backups / snapshots before real data lands Cost - Stop/deallocate when idle; watch disks and public IPs - Tag resources with customer name Document subscription, RG, VM name, and who pays the bill.
